Previous Next
Within the 10-day Wilderness Adventure, we will explore for 5 days the most magical places of Atlin Lake (the biggest natural lake in British Columbia). We will canoe to the location where we start hiking to the peak of Copper Island. We make our way through dense forests, carpets of wildflowers and alpine meadows leading us through rock gardens to the top of Copper Island.

The view is inspirational, opening a vista over narrow  inlets, hidden bays, labyrinths of idyllic lakes and as a backdrop, the azure blue Atlin Lake and glacial mountain peaks.

One of the most majestic views from the top of Copper Island, is the cascading rock face of Cathedral Mountain which rises 2000 meters from lake level. As we enjoy some relaxed hours on the peak, it is a good time for photography, to observe wildlife and take in the views.

Go back to the Photo Album/Art Gallery for more great photos.
